Anti-bullying PSA

And my brief:


This concept conveys how bullying can take the zest and zeal out of living, and how one act of kindness or understanding can make a difference. The character in the video is receiving mean notes, which are bright red in a black and white landscape to show how distracting and jarring it can be to receive such a note. At the end, the character receives a nice note on blue paper that, when opened, bleeds the color back into the world. The posters are based on this idea as well, with the desaturated and gray notes that say mean things surrounding a brightly colors pattern of notes with the tagline on it. The intention is to give a sense of breaking through the bullying into a colorful, fulfilling space.

I am aiming this campaign at high school students. I have used more high contrast footage, heavier and more mature music, and more mature words to get this audience.

Invoice experimentation. I want to work in the angles of the logo somehow and create more space for descriptions and hourly charges like installation. Also looking at more sleeker and more heavily organized designs.

AJMF Posters: Final Turned In Versions


Brief:
Both this design and the next take an iconic approach to representing the Atlanta Jewish Music Festival. Here I used a combination of guitar picks and typography to represent the music festival. The picks feature vastly different typefaces and treatments to show the wide variety of music and experience offered by this event. This effect can be further customized as well, giving each artist and word its own distinct and catered feel. This somewhat chaotic approach is meant to show several very different elements coming together in one unique event.


Brief:
This concept features a luminary, which is a sentimental and nostalgic symbol of summer and fall music festivals. Although such luminaries are often used outdoors and at night, such an icon can evoke the community and fond memories of a festival without being taken literally. The treatment of the type reinforces this idea by swirling around the luminary like the glow of a candle, suggesting the way that people come together to make events like AJMF work.

Senior Advertising, Project 1: Self Promo Posters






The objective of this project is self promotion. It is catered to the place I interned at over the summer and the hope is that it would inspire them to consider hiring me on after graduation.
